President’s Message on the 100th Anniversary

Dear Colleagues,

We all are proud and happy to have reached the 100th anniversary of our Republic. We share this great joy with you, my esteemed colleagues, who work with the responsibility of building a better Turkey for future generations.

Turkey has undergone a great change and transformation process since its foundation. Our struggle for economic independence, which started with the Izmir Economic Congress, has turned into one of the pillars of our Republic. Today, as a key player in the world economy, we take pride in Turkey’s progress and development. Of course, these achievements are not always easy and without their challenges. In the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we are looking forward with great aspirations, while being aware of the hurdles ahead.

We, at the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund, always emphasise the importance of financial stability and security. It is our permanent duty to ensure the sustainable growth of our financial sector in order to further strengthen and nurture the Turkish economy.

By investing in knowledge, innovation, entrepreneurship and education, we will continue to work with unwavering devotion to make the next century the “Century of Turkey”. I would like to extend my personal gratitude for your outstanding achievements and tireless efforts, which have been acknowledged as exemplary in the world and have become the subject of academic studies.

We celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic with enthusiasm; and we take this opportunity to respectfully commemorate all our heroes, first and foremost Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of our Republic, with mercy and gratitude.

And with our belief in the future, we will keep on moving forward with the same perseverance and dedication.
