Ferruh Tunç graduated from University of Ankara, Faculty of Political Sciences, (Economics and Public Finance) in 1981 and joined the Ministry of Finance in 1982. He has been promoted as a tax inspector in 1985.
Ferruh joined Arthur Andersen Istanbul Office in 1987 as a Tax Manager. He established the Ankara office of the same firm in 1991 and managed the same office for next 4 years. Having left Arthur Andersen in 1996, Ferruh joined a manufacturing/exporting company with a foreign shareholder and worked as assistant general manager in charge of finance and administration until 1999.
Ferruh joined KPMG Turkey in 1999 as a tax partner. After working as the deputy chairman of the Saving and Deposits Fund (TMSF) during years 2004 to 2006, he re-joined KPMG Turkey as a tax partner in 2007.
Ferruh Tunc is qualified as a sworn tax advisor (YMM) and also participated in working groups set up by institutions like State Planning Association (DPT), Association of Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen (TÜSİAD), held membership in National Tax Council (VK) and International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) .
